Sorry, PlayStation 4: Titanfall is exclusive to Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC for ‘the life of the title’

The Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC game Titanfall from Respawn Entertainment (clearly not an exclusive).
Titanfall isn’t coming to PlayStation 4. Not just when it launches on March 11 — it is never coming to Sony’s next-gen console.
During a conference call with investors, Electronic Arts chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen confirmed that Microsoft’s consoles and the PC have a full exclusive for Titanfall. This means the game isn’t coming to PlayStation 4.
An analyst was asking Jorgensen to speak about the potential performance of Titanfall. In response, he tempered expectations for the upcoming shooter by pointing out some things that might hold it back.
“In the case of Titanfall, it’s a brand new [intellectual property], and it’s exclusive only — through the life of the title — for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC,” said Jorgensen.
We’ve reached out to EA and asked the company to elaborate on Jorgensen’s comment.
Titanfall is a new multiplayer shooter from developer Respawn Entertainment. It takes place in a future where soldiers on foot fight side-by-side and against troops inside giant mechs. Respawn comprises many former developers from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare studio Infinity Ward. Jason West and Vince Zampella, who Activision fired from Infinity Ward, formed the studio in 2010 and partnered with Electronic Arts.
Respawn finally started showing off Titanfall earlier this year. The title is quickly gathering praise from critics and excitement from fans. It won the Critic’s Game of the Show Award following the most recent Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) trade show in June.
