A woman has been given a ticket for driving while wearing Google Glass in a case thought to be the first of its kind.
Cecilia Abadie uploaded an image of the ticket on website Google+ after being stopped by an officer in the San Diego area of California.
The ticket said "driving with monitor visible to driver (Google Glass)".
The "wearable computer", which has a small screen just above the right eye, allows users to take pictures, record video and read messages.
The offence apparently violated California Vehicle Code Section 27602, according to Glass Almanac.
Under this rule, a person cannot drive in the state with any type of video screen that is operating and in the front seat or otherwise visible to the driver.
However, there are exceptions to the law, which says a person can drive with equipment including a mapping display and or global positioning display, both of which describe Glass, according to the website.
Miss Abadie claims the device was not on while she was driving.
The ticket also said Miss Abadie was speeding 10mph above the legal limit.
