While testing the FonePad, we found the call quality as well as speaker volume to be quite good.  It is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor and runs on Android v4.1. The 16GB model with expandable memory is being sold for Rs 14,499. Interestingly, the tablet comes with support for dual SIM mode. The A3000 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Mediatek processor with 1GB RAM, and runs on Android Jelly Bean version. Users can also take a look at the Lenovo A1000 priced at Rs 8,999 that comes with support for 2G calling.

iberry may not be a very well known brand, but we’ve seen some really efficient tablets from the company in the past. One of the most recent ones in its Auxus range – Core X4 – appears to be worth considering too. Priced at Rs 16,990, the tablet comes with a large 9.7-inch display. It is powered by a 1.6GHz Samsung Exynos 4412 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. So, we can expect the tablet to be quite fast. It gets the slightly older 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich flavour of the Android OS. Looking at the specs (on paper), it does appear to be value for money. The only hiccup seems to be its mediocre cameras.

Now, we haven’t tested this device, but glance at its specs sheet and you'll find it woth considering at Rs 7,799. The 7-inch tablet not only comes voice calling facility but also supports dual SIM mode. Though the built-in memory is just 4GB, it does get an expandable memory slot for up to 32GB.

Another tablet worth a dekko is the 8-inch Xolo Play, which is available online for as low as Rs 12,250. Those who primarily use their tablets to read or watch movies will find the voice calling facility quite handy. However, to avoid looking silly in public, do get a headset to go along with the device.
